Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz hit his 15th home run Thursday against the Tigers.
In the top of the fourth inning, Ortiz hit a first-pitch fastball from Jose Alvarez out to right for a solo shot. Ortiz later singled, driving in another run. He finshed the game 2 for 4 with a run scored and two runs driven in. He’s hitting .310/.386/.610 in 213 at-bats.
