Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez will complete a bullpen session Thursday that should let Detroit know whether or not he’ll need a rehab assignment, MLB.com reports. The original plan was for Sanchez to miss two starts and to return Monday in Toronto.
If Sanchez cannot go, it will continue to be Jose Alvarez starting for the Tigers. Until Sanchez throws on the side, manager Jim Leyland won’t have his answer.
