Jose Alvarez sent down to Triple-A

The Tigers optioned starting pitcher Jose Alvarez back down to Triple-A Toledo Friday. Alvarez made four starts for the Tigers. He went 1-2 with a 5.03 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP over 19 2/3 innings pitched.
